My New Blog

Ok so I have never done anything like this before but I was looking at the Blogs and noticed that there were very few Giants ones. So I thought I might give it a try.  I’m not an expert or anything, I am just a girl who loves the Giants and wants to talk about them. I’m in college right now and I have nobody to talk baseball with.  My roommate isn’t that into it and neither are my friends, so when I go into my random rants about the game the night before they have no idea what I am talking about and basically just think that I am crazy.  So now I am going to rant here and all of you guys can think that I am crazy.

Welcome to the MLBlogosphere! Glad you pointed that out — it has been strange seeing the Giants vastly under-represented at MLBlogs in our first two years. I have always suspected that is because the concentration of fans are in the capital of blogdom and everyone already has 40 blogs. Anyway, looking forward to your posts, and we’ll add you to the Rookies list on MLBlogs.com!

I just wanted to relate my experience with the Giants homepage and the so-called opportunity to purchase All-star game tickets. You were first required to register for a drawing and if randomly selected won an opportunity to purchase up to two ticket scripts for the All-star game and two other All-star events. After being notified that I was one of the lucky few selected, I felt like I had won the lottery! I followed the instructions provided and also read the restrictions regarding the forms I was required to fill out in order to purchase the tckets. First, if the address given didn’t match the original address given when I first entered the drawing I would be disqualified. No problem. Next, I had to select a ticket price and seat location but I was only given 1 minute and 30 seconds to do so. If this wasn’t done in the time alloted I would be disqualified. Somehow I was able to scan the map and price list provided and entered the info. Whew! On to page two where I had to fill out my name, address, state and country of origin, e-mail address, credit card name, credit card number, expiration date, etc. All the standard stuff required to make an electronic purchase. But I was given only 3 minutes to do this! I started typing as fast as I could and hit submit. I was crushed when the message came on informing me that I was disqualified for not providing my info within the time limit! What a disappointment to say the least.
